It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Darwina L. Neal, a pathbreaking landscape architect who gave so generously and inspired so many over her long career. For US/ICOMOS alone, Darwina served as Treasurer, Trustee, and institutional memory and trusted advisor to many Executive Directors. She helped organize our International Exchange Program, mentored a host of emerging professionals, and was a founder and officer of the ICOMOS International Scientific Committee for Cultural Landscapes. We can’t overstate Darwina’s contribution to the organization over decades of service.
